• collected by Kuan (Guan) in 1957, then Zhou at same site in 1978. collected in 1957 by Yaowu Guan of the Sichuan Regional Petroleum Exploration Office from Taipingzhai. In November of 1978, Angui Wang from the QuxianCounty Hydroelectric Office noted numerous occurrences of fossil bone at the locality thatproduced Chialingosaurus. Re-excavation was thereby undertaken by a consortium including Shiwu Zhou from the Chunking Natural History Museum, Xingyao Li from the Quxian County Cultural Office, and Shengquan Xu of the Hydroelectric Office
