• Upper Heath. JA: late Chesterian is Serpukhovian according to Mii et al. 1999 (GSA Bull 111:960-973)

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: offshore; poorly lithified, gray, green, yellow, argillaceous shale

• Some of the upper Heath MAY be estuarine/non-marine as noted by the author. These localities contain wood and other plant fragments, are non-calcareous and contain no marine fossils. These localities have been omitted by me [MS].
• shale and clay, yellow, greenish-gray, red, very weak (exposure dug-out).
