When: Upper Sitkówka Beds Member (Kowala Formation), Early/Lower Frasnian (383.7 - 382.4 Ma)

• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: THICKNESS: From equivalent strata to the lower Sitkowka beds of the Kowala Formation, below in the regional section to that of the Kadzielnia Mbr. AGE: Early Frasnian according to Fig. 2 of Krawczynski (2002). STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From set A2, lower part of Kowala section.

•l. Pa. falsiovalis / u. Pa. falsiovalis zone, earliest Frasnian.

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: reef, buildup or bioherm; lithified, shelly/skeletal packstone

• ENVIRONMENT: Reef gastropod association, in otherwise bank to reef facies, adjoining detrital and coral-rich buildups. TECTONIC SETTING: No tectonic data reported. SEQUENCE STRATIGRAPHY: From base of IC T-R cycle of Racki (1997), though its not clear whether this is transgressive or regressive.
• SPECIFIC LITHOLOGY: Packstone. GENERAL LITHOLOGY: Biolithites and organodetrital limestones. Detailed lithological data reported by Racki (1993). LITHIFICATION: lithified, based on observatio of figured specimens.
