• hand sample-level geographic resolution

When: Late/Upper Albian to Late/Upper Albian (105.3 - 93.5 Ma)

• some radiolarians of this assemblege are indicative of the Obesacapsula somphedia Zone (Schaaf, 1981)

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: basinal (siliceous); lithified chert and lithified, cherty/siliceous mudstone

• chert blocks found as exotic blocks in the Lubok Antu Melange. The chert blocks consist of interbedded radiolarian cherts and siliceous mudstone. The thickness of the individual chert layers ranges from 1 to 10 cm. The cherts are folded and some parts are fractured and sheared.

Size class: microfossils

Collection methods: bulk, hydroflouric,

• The Radiolaria were retrieved from the chert by using hydrofluoric acid following the method of Pessagno and Newport (1972)
