• STRATIGRAPHIC RELATIONS: From Karekare Siltstone of the Taitai Series, which conformably overlies the Te Wera Sandstone (Albian). AGE: Urutawan of Wellman (1956) = Middle to Upper Albian, on the basis of macrofossil biostratigraphy. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From 50 ft above base of formation.
