Type specimen: USNM 116504. Its type locality is Loc. 2. edge of quarry, just north of RR tracks ¼ mile west of Strasburg Junction, which is in a Blackriveran carbonate limestone in the Edinburg Formation of Virginia.

Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal carnivore
