Sister taxa: Chomatopyge falcata, Chomatopyge marginifera
Type specimen: CEGH-UNC 16934, a pygidium. Its type locality is LA a, Las Aguaditas North Section, ~5.5 km west and ~9.5 km south of San José da Jáchal, which is in a Llanvirn marine mudstone/chert in the Las Aguaditas Formation of Argentina.
Ecology: fast-moving low-level epifaunal deposit feeder
