Type specimen: USNM 251838. Its type locality is V7N, V7 traverse, Punta San Hipolito, Baja California, which is in an Alaunian/Sevatian basinal (siliceous) chert in the San Hipolito Formation of Mexico.
Ecology: passively mobile planktonic omnivore
