Type specimen: UALVP 29905, a mandible (a nearly complete left dentary bearing 11 teeth and spaces for five others). Its type locality is Verdigris Coulee (UA-MR-6), which is in an Aquilan terrestrial sandstone/shale in the Upper Milk River Formation of Canada.
