Type specimen: GMPKU-P-1350, a skeleton (almost complete, preserved in dorso-ventral view). Its type locality is Dawazi village, lower vertebrate horizon, Luoping County, which is in a Pelsonian carbonate limestone in the Guanling Formation of China.
