Type specimen: PIN 3149/970, an exoskeleton. Its type locality is Gurvan-Ereny-Nuruu (Outcrop 236/29), which is in a Berriasian lacustrine - large shale/sandstone in the Gurvan-Eren Formation of Mongolia.
