Type specimens:
- Bunophorus sinclairi: PU 13448, a mandible (right ramus with P4 and M2-3, and a left ramus with P4 and M1-2). Its type locality is Davis Ranch, which is in a Bridgerian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone in the Wind River Formation of Wyoming.
