Type specimen: USNM 2364, a partial skeleton (humerus, three metarsals, distal end of ulna, probable sternum, and fragments). Its type locality is East Canyon Quarry, which is in an Oxfordian crevasse splay sandstone in the Morrison Formation of Utah.
