Type specimen: ZPal MgM-I/77, a partial skeleton (damaged skull with both dentaries and a large part of the postcranial skeleton). Its type locality is Khulsan (PMPE), which is in a Campanian terrestrial sandstone/sandstone in the Barun Goyot Formation of Mongolia.

Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore
