Taxonomy
Ampullaria guaduasensis was named by Anderson (1928). Its type specimen is CAS 2721, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is San Juan de Rio Seco, which is in an Eocene marginal marine shale in Colombia.
