Santacruzodon hopsoni
Taxonomy
Santacruzodon hopsoni was named by Abdala and Ribeiro (2003). Its type specimen is MCN PV 2768, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Santuario Schoenstatt, Santa Cruz do Sol fauna, which is in a Ladinian floodplain mudstone/sandstone in the Santa Maria Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Santacruzodon.
