Platycraniellus elegans
Taxonomy
Platycranion elegans was named by van Hoepen (1916). Its type specimen is TM 25, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Old Brickfield Donga, Harrismith commonage, which is in a Triassic terrestrial horizon in the Normandien Formation of South Africa. It is the type species of Platycraniellus, Platycranion.
It was recombined as Platycraniellus elegans by van Hoepen (1917).
