Taxonomy

Dolichomyrma latipes was named by Dlussky (1975). Its type specimen is PIN 2383/144, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Kzyl-Zhar Locality (PIN collection 2383), which is in a Turonian fluvial mudstone in Kazakstan.
