Taxonomy

Ischyromyidae was named by Alston (1876). It is not extant.

It was assigned to Simplicidentata by Flower and Lydekker (1891); to Protrogomorpha by Wood (1958); to Protrogomorpha by McKenna and Bell (1997); and to Sciuromorpha by Dunn and Rasmussen (2007).
