Hyopsodus
Taxonomy
Hyopsodus was named by Leidy (1870). It is not extant. Its type is Hyopsodus paulus.
It was synonymized subjectively with Microchoerus by Lydekker (1885).
It was assigned to Hyopsodontinae by Zack et al. (2005); and to Hyopsodontidae by Leidy (1870), Osborn (1902), Stock (1934), Gazin (1968), Carroll (1988), Archibald (1998) and Williamson and Weil (2011).
