It was assigned to Fabrosauridae by Peng (1992); to Euornithopoda by Norman et al. (2004); to Ornithischia by Barrett et al. (2005); to Neornithischia by Butler et al. (2007), Butler et al. (2008) and Butler and Sullivan (2009); and to Neornithischia by Han et al. (2012).
