Euomphalus (Morphotropis) solutus was named by Spitz (1907) [Euomphalus (Morphotropis?) solutus]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Serpulospira solutus by Jhaveri (1969), Blodgett and Johnson (1992) and Wagner (2011).
