When: Arqov Formation, Wuchiapingian to Wuchiapingian (259.0 - 252.3 Ma)

• Marine sediments of the Arqov Formation (165m) are overlain by a fluviatile to continental succession of the Shezaf Formation (90m), which may represent a sandy member of the upper Arqov Formation. Ostracodes were found in samples of the Arqov Formation between 2486 and 2645m, while the Shezaf Formation is barren of ostracodes.
