Where: Czech Republic (49.9° N, 14.2° E: paleocoordinates 38.9° S, 48.8° E)

• coordinate based on political unit

• local area-level geographic resolution

When: Chapel Coral Horizon Member, Early/Lower Emsian (409.1 - 402.5 Ma)

• Lower Emsian

•JA: originally entered as Zlichovian

Environment/lithology: marine; shelly/skeletal limestone

• Ref. 4216, cited in coll. 12112: "combination of grey sparitic and micritic limestones, both with common cherts. Intercalations of dark grey calcerous shales are locally frequent in the lower and particularly upper part of the sequence. Thick layers of coarser bioclastic limestones associated with sedimentary breccias (the Chapel Hill Coral Horizon) interpreted as talus deposits of a reef situated outside the preserved Devonian beds of the Barrandian, are found near the Zlichovian base in the vicinity of Prague."

Size class: macrofossils
