Where: Czech Republic (49.9° N, 14.2° E: paleocoordinates 28.9° S, 37.8° E)

• coordinate based on political unit

• local area-level geographic resolution

When: Chotec Limestone Member (Chotec Formation), Eifelian (391.9 - 388.1 Ma)

Environment/lithology: marine; gray lime mudstone and pyritic, gray, calcareous, cherty/siliceous mudstone

• Ref. 4216, cited in coll. 12252: "grey to dark grey well bedded limestones of two principle types: 1 micritic and biomicritic limestones with knobby bedding surfaces, 2 Bioclastic fine to coarse sparitic and bituminous limestones with frequent lamination (even cross lamination present), well sorted bioclasts, graded bedding microbreccias and wave ripples in some layers. A third rock type is generally subordinated dark grey calcareous shales (mudstones) with pyrite, thin plane lamiation... cherts are locally common
