• "Beds bearing this community are interbedded with graptolite-bearing shales and earthy dolomites near the top of unit 3. A BA4-5 position is most likely. The community may occupy a slightly restricted environment, perhaps near a pycnocline boundary."

• "The lithology is predominantly an earthy red wackestone....skeletal debris ranges from 5-30%...locally as high as 50%...little evidence of skeletal debris winnowing, but most large grains are abraded and bored...root systems uncommon...[material generally disarticulated]..."
