• Similarities with Kapp Starostin Formation in Svalbard (Mangerud and Konieczny 1991,1993), with the Trold Foird Formation in the Sverdrup Basin (Utting, 1989; and similar to those assemblages recorded in the Tatarian stratotype in Russia (Koloda et al., 1992)

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: glauconitic, pebbly, gray, cherty/siliceous shale and phosphorite

• phosphoritic bed and a layer of pebbly shale with clasts of chert, glauconite, greyish and brownish shale and black phosphorite with indications of erosion.
