When: Waihao Greensand Formation, Late/Upper Eocene (37.2 - 33.9 Ma)

• From collections throughout the Waihao Greensand, though most records are almost certainly from the Tahu Member (Kaiatan). Bortonian-Kaiatan in age (Late Eocene).

Environment/lithology: deep-water; bioturbated, glauconitic, shelly/skeletal, green sandstone and sandy siltstone

• Offshore lower shelf to slope environments, 150-250 m based on autoecological analyses.
• Glauconitic, fossiliferous, bioturbated sandstone. May also include sandty siltstones.
