Peradectes elegans

Taxonomy
Peradectes elegans was named by Matthew and Granger (1921) [genotype]. Its type locality is Mason Pocket, which is in a Tiffanian fissure fill shale in Colorado. It is the type species of Peradectes.

Synonyms
  • Peradectes pauli was named by Gazin (1956). Its type specimen is USNM 20879, a mandible, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Saddle, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in Wyoming.

    It was synonymized subjectively with Peradectes elegans by Holtzman (1978).
