The duration of the camera trap survey was fixed at 30 days between November 2008 and December 2008... The sampling was carried out in two trapping sessions of 15 days each covering two blocks, each with 20 trap locations... Of the 40 trap locations, three became non-operational due to theft of cameras... an average trap spacing of about 1.5 km was maintained... Each camera trap had two camera units facing each other 5 m apart, fixed at locations judged to be optimal leopard travel routes. Deercam DC 300 passive detection camera traps protected by metal shells were used and set at a height of 40– 45 cm above the ground" and these were film cameras
