Environment
Lithology: claystone

Taphonomic context: lake deposit

Habitat comments: the fossils are from a single 15.6 m long, 0.4 to 0.m thick bedding plane of red clay that is "regarded as a seam washed ashore in a shallow lake basin" and was exposed in an actively mined brickworks
many of the fossils are associated, so counts are of apparent individuals
there is presumed hyaena damage to some of the bones but there are no body fossils of carnivores
