Environment
Lithology: siliciclastic (mixed)
Taphonomic context: fluvial deposit
Archaeology: stone tools
Habitat comments: Barranc de la Boella formed in a "fluvio-deltaic sedimentary environment"
The sites are located in "fluvial and debris flow" deposits
Unit II contains "poorly stratified sand and gravel"
15.8% of EF2 remains are abraded (mostly stage 1), indicating limited exposure to low-intensity water flows
High levels of weathering (52.6%) are seen in EF2, mostly associated with dry fractures (75.5%)
Stage 1 weathering was predominant in EF2 indicating short exposure and low degree of destruction
Lithic artifacts were found at EF2 indicating some level of hominin presence
Carnivore tooth marks are present on 2.3% of EF2 remains
