there are "six successive layers... Each layer consists of a floor, 5-7 m. in diameter, littered with artefacts and bones, covered by a sandy layer (20-25 cm thick) which contained artifactual material" (Arensburg and Bar Yosef 1973)
artifacts including microlithics (mostly blades and flakes) plus "some picks, five complete and broken basalt pestles and a broken basalt mortar... Four bone made burnishers and one bone awl" (Arensburg and Bar Yosef 1973)
this is a human accumulation and part representation suggests "destruction by prehistoric man of bones rich in marrow"
