Sampling comments: five sampling points along a road cutting through the reserve with stations at each point on opposite sides of the road, each sampled for 5 days continuously and then moved to the other side; each station included 20 small-sized and 18 medium-sized Sherman traps respectively placed at ground level and between 100 and 150 cm above ground and arrayed in two 50-m long linear transects 5 m apart; bait included oat flakes, roasted peanuts, meat, lard, shortening, and essences of vanilla, banana, and cinnamon
