Environment
Lithology: marl

Taphonomic context: lake deposit

Habitat comments: "lacustrine deposits, gray marls and silt-sands with mollusks Planorbis sp., Unio sp., etc."
Fig. 3 shows that the fossils come from a marl at the top of the formation
there is no "form of early human modification" at all

Sampling comments: "fossils were found and collected by the villager Giannis Gakis" in 2000 but there were later "five substantial excavating sessions" spanning 2001 - 2004 at either KAL or KLT or both that were carried out under the direction of Tsoukala
most material was collected in "the stream mainly after raining"
