Methods
Life forms: rodents

Sampling methods: quadrat,baited,snap traps

Sample size: 64 individuals

Nets or traps: 250

Net or trap nights: 1041

Sampling comments: "one 50 m x 50 m sampling grid w as set up as near as possible to the grove’s centre... both small and large snap-traps were used. The ratio of small to large traps was 1:2... with four traps situated within 3 m of each 10 m marker stake.. A further trap was positioned ap- proximately mid-way between each 10 m marker. Of this total of 204 traps, four of these were placed arboreally. A further 46 traps were positioned at suitable arboreal locations throughout the grid, bringing the total of traps placed on the trunks and limbs of trees to 20% (50 of 250)... Bait, a paste of rolled oats, peanut butter, bananas and vegetable oil, was applied each day at dusk"
