the Soucy sites are in a field about 1 km due west of Soucy and immediately adjacent to the TGV tracks (see Fig. 2: coordinate estimated from this map)
assigned to the Holsteinian interglacial or MIS 9 based on an unpublished analysis of the microfauna (basis of age estimate)
there is also an ESR date on quartz of 349 ± 43 BP from near the base of the section and aminochronological date on mollusc shells corresponding to MIS 7 from in between

Habitat comments: from the top of a fine alluvium that is sandy to sandy-loamy
the assemblage is interpreted as the result of hunting and butchery and fluvial deposition and carnivore predation are specifically ruled out, although preservation of the bones is poor and cut marks aren't mentioned
there are 2083 lithic artifacts
