Ten pre-existing 50 x 20 m plots... located at least 0.2 km apart... In each sampling period, four traps were placed at the extremes of each plot... Dung beetle were collectedusing pitfall-type traps consisting of plastic containers (14 cm in diameter x 11 cm in deep)... For use as bait, 50 of human feces was hung from a wire above the trap opening... The pitfalls remained in the field for 48 h"
