Sampling comments: "We placed paired trail cameras at 38 locations... a grid was overlaid on the study area, with each grid square encompassing 9 km2. We placed one camera pair in each grid square. Camera locations were placed an average of 2–3 km apart... We used a variety of trail camera models" including TrophyCam, Moutrie, Stealth Cam, Rogue IR, and Wildview Infrared Extreme models; "Cameras were activated at each site for a minimum of 3 months between June 2012 and March 2013... Any detections of the same species of animal at the same site within 1 h of each other were considered to be photos of the same individual(s)"
