Geography
Country: Brazil
State: Amazonas
Coordinate: 5° 26' S, 67° 17' W
Coordinate basis: based on nearby landmark
Geography comments: "crossed by the Rio Juruâ, a major white water tributary of the Rio Solimões"

Environment
Habitat: tropical/subtropical moist broadleaf forest
Substrate: ground surface
Disturbance: agriculture,grazing
MAT: 27.1
MAP: 3679.0
Habitat comments: "At least one fifth of the reserve is yearly flooded (vârzea and igapó forests) and the remaining is non-flooded evergreen terra firme forest... Approximately 1300 people inhabit the Uacari SDR and make a living out of extractive activities, in addition to small scale cattle ranching and slash-and-burn agriculture"
MAP stated in text is 2600
climate data are for the Bauana Ecological Field Station (coordinate identical to the reserve) and are from Hawes et al. (2012, Forest Ecology and Management)

Methods
Life forms: carnivores,rodents,ungulates,other large mammals
Sites: 7
Sampling methods: line transect,automatic cameras
Sample size: 103 captures or sightings
Years: 2007
Nets or traps: 105
Net or trap nights: 932
Camera type: analog
Cameras paired: no
Trap spacing: 0.27
Sampling comments: "Data was collected on seven 4-km long line-transects located in four non-flooded terra firme and three flooded vârzea forest sites... Transects were straight or nearly straight trails... Field work was done between March and November 2007... We used Trapacameras... infrared triggered camera traps loaded with ISO 100 or 200 film rolls... Each pair consisted of a camera facing the transect line and another set inside the forest... Total number of cameras in each transect varied from 13 to 20 due to equipment failure" and there was a total of 105 traps (not trap pairs) spanning the full 28 km of transects; cameras within pairs did not face each other
