Geography
Country: Malaysia

State: Pahang

Coordinate: 3° 33' N, 102° 30' E
Coordinate basis: stated in text

Geography comments: altitude 45 to 2108 m

Environment
Habitat: tropical/subtropical moist broadleaf forest

Protection: wildlife protected area

Substrate: ground surface

MAT: 25.8

MAP: 2017.0

Habitat comments: "Vegetation within the reserve predominantly consists of lowland dipterocarp forest (61%), hill dipterocarp forest (22.5%) and upper dipterocarp forest (9%) with minor components of secondary forest (1.1%) and cultivated/cleared land (0.6%)... Control plots were chosen based on local knowledge as being natural unmodified forest"
climate data are for Temerloh and are from Poore (1968, Journal of Ecology)

Methods
Life forms: carnivores,primates,rodents,ungulates,birds,lizards

Sites: 8

Sampling methods: no design,baited,automatic cameras

Sample size: 342 captures or sightings

Nets or traps: 24

Net or trap nights: 546

Camera type: digital

Cameras paired: no

Sampling comments: eight "plots were surveyed over a two-month period using 24 HD Bushnell camera traps. Our aim was to obtain the equivalent of eight weeks of camera trapping per plot (56 days)... Fruit baits were deployed to increase capture rates"
"1024 camera trap nights" are reported for the two treatments combined; recorded figure is based on assuming equal effort across the 15 plots
site area is unclear because the sampling points are clustered within part of the reserve
